Talk: The Brislington Rail Project

Talk: The Brislington Rail Project at St Anne's House (BS4)

An event on Thursday 18th February. The event starts at 19:00.

Join author and rail enthusiast Andrew Swift detailing the story of one of the most challenging sections of the original Great Western to build.

A construction project fraught with problems, pitched battles between gangs of navvies, and court battles between engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel and his subcontractor, only adding to the intrigue of this spectacular stretch of line.

Brought to St Anne’s House with the support of BGAS150.
