Join me for a poetic and playful workshop where I'll guide the participants through a series of movement prompts inspired by the exhibition 'Place Portraits: St Anne's' by Anna Haydock-Wilson. The event is part of St Anne's Open House weekend.
The workshop will be led by me, Anastasia Dahl. I'm a Russian-born dance artist and sociologist based in Bristol, UK. I work with the tools of performance, improvisation and somatic movement. My practice also includes movement in nature and guided movement sessions in art galleries.
WHAT TO EXPECT: The workshop will start with gentle physical warm-up. Then, I'll verbally guide you through prompts for individual and group improvisation (no touch). We'll then have a chat to — optionally — share experience, ideas and observations. No particular experience is necessary, and the space will be rest-friendly with the option to disengage or leave at any moment. Please be aware that there may be other visitors in gallery aside from workshop participants. If you have any questions, please contact me at [email protected] ♡
