Avona Premiere at St Anne's House
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Sell out warning! A sequel of sorts to Rave On For The Avon, the underground doc sensation on the local quest to save Bristol’s dirty waterways, Avona follows further strange river activist antics on the trail of the River Spirit Puppet. To celebrate the screening, Emily Magpie will treat you to her sumptuous, spine-tingling folktronic torch songs, with a special live spoken word appearance from the Avon Bride."

A event on Sunday 22nd February. The event starts at 14:30.

From the makers of Rave on for the Avon, AVONA a new short film will premiere close to the River's banks at St Anne's House Brislington, Bristol.

A goddess? A monster? There is something in the dirty water and she has begun to stir.. see how local Bristolians have communicated the rights of their River in the form of a giant River Spirit Puppet, and bought her to life for us all to interact with.

After the screening there will be a stripped back live performance from musician Emily Magpie's new mini-album HOWL and a collaboration with the bride of the Avon, poet Mrs Meg Avon.

This event is an opportunity to reflect on everything Avona has done so far in her short life and where she might go next.

Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
