A event on Wednesday 25th March. The event starts at 19:00.
The Friendly Neighbourhood Film Club is back at St Anne's House, this time we are in house on a Wednesday, March 25th! Back with another film to bring us together, relax and enjoy some iconic movie moments with friends both new and old!
This month we are heading to New York for indie cult classic 'Frances Ha', directed by Noam Baumbach and staring Greta Gurwig, Mickey Summer and Adam Driver. A classic of the mumblecore subgenre, we follow Frances (Gerwig) in this heart warming, hilarious and always relatable coming of age tale.
The film follows Frances who moves to New York to pursue a career in dance but gets caught up in the reality of adult life. When her best friend breaks the news she's moving to her ideal neighbourhood with another friend, dating begins to turn serious for those around her and the financial struggles of living in New York starts to sink in, Frances cant help but feel the people around her seem to be moving forward in life while she is stuck in place. What follows is a film full of ups and downs as Frances goes on a journey of self discovery.
So, get ready for cosiness, lovely refreshments (popcorn to be expected) and giggles, and join the Friendly Neighbourhood Film Club once again for a great screening.
