# DANCE TEMPLE

A two-hour music-led journey into movement, expression and connection.

Dance Temple is a space to step away from the noise of everyday life and return to the body.

Held within the spectacular surroundings of St Anne’s Church in Bristol, we gather beneath high ceilings and warm light for two hours of conscious, free-form dance.

Here, music becomes the guide and movement becomes a way of listening.

### THE EXPERIENCE

From 7:30–9:30pm, we journey together through two hours of music and movement.

Each Dance Temple unfolds through a carefully curated musical landscape, moving through organic house, tribal and world-inspired rhythms, deep bass, devotional sounds, emotive electronic music and expansive soundscapes.

The music rises and falls. At times soft and spacious. At others wild, rhythmic and powerful.

There is freedom within the space to follow what your body needs.

### A DIFFERENT KIND OF NIGHT OUT

Dance Temple carries the energy, sound and collective experience of a night out while offering something more intentional. The dancefloor is sober, phone-free and free from conversation.

For two hours, there is nowhere else you need to be.

Just body.
Breath.
Music.
Movement.

This is a space for ecstatic dance, conscious movement, embodiment and connection. You do not need to consider yourself a dancer and you do not need any previous experience.

All bodies, identities and levels of movement experience are welcome.

### THE MUSIC

Music sits at the heart of Dance Temple.

Each edition has its own theme and musical identity, exploring the far edges of electronic dance music through:

Organic house • tribal rhythms • world electronic • deep and devotional bass • downtempo • folktronica • emotive electronica • expansive ambient soundscapes

The evening is curated as one continuous journey.

Beginning with space to arrive and connect with the body, the music gradually builds in rhythm, intensity and expression before eventually softening again and bringing us towards rest.

The intention is not to dance well.

It is to feel.

### WHAT TO BRING

Wear comfortable clothes or layers that allow you to move freely.

Bring a water bottle and anything else you need to feel comfortable in the space.

You are also welcome to bring a yoga mat if you would like some soft support during the quieter and more ambient parts of the journey.

Most importantly, bring curiosity.

### COME AS YOU ARE

Dance Temple is for the experienced dancer and the person who thinks they cannot dance.

For the extrovert and the introvert.

For those who want to lose themselves in the music and those who want to find themselves within it.

It is an invitation to step outside ordinary ways of relating and communicating and discover what becomes possible when a room of people chooses to simply move together.
