Viridian at St George's Bristol

A gig held at St George's Bristol on Saturday 19th October. The event starts at 13:30.

Viridian is an artistic collective inspired by the feminist free improvisation vanguard, an ethereal amalgam of image, voice, cello, percussion and double bass. They champion the serendipitous interplay of sound and moving image using improvisational visuals as the score to their live performances. This is a celebration of in-the-moment performance and the power of improvisation to discover new musical worlds.

Leading the conversation with Viridian will be cultural historian and theorist D-M Withers, whose work engages with the social practices and aesthetic politics of feminist improvisation.
