Beyond Poetry: with Vanessa Kisuule, Travis Alabanza & Cecilia Knapp. A panel discussion with three leading UK poets who have written across literary forms.

Lyra’s 2024 theme is Poetic Futures. In this panel, we ask the question how poetry is moving into the future and how these poets are transforming their poetic practice. Travis Alabanza recently released their debut memoir ‘None of the Above: Reflections on Life Beyond the Binary’ (2022), Cecilia Knapp released her debut novel ‘Little Boxes’ in 2023, and Vanessa Kisuule is releasing her debut collection of essays ‘Neverland’ with Canongate in 2024. All three poets have also used their poetry in solo theatre shows. Join them for fascinating insights about how their crafts are developing beyond (but still within) poetry, and how poetry itself is developing and moving into new places.

This event will be BSL interpreted.

The event is also available to watch via live stream. Please book a ‘Live Stream Ticket’ at checkout.
