Vilk Collective at St George's Bristol
£8

A gig held at St George's Bristol on Friday 20th March. The event starts at 19:30.

Vilk Collective is creative duo Roxana and Peter Vilk, both musicians and award-winning filmmakers. They grew up listening to music from Iranian folk songs, Persian funk, Czech jazz and punk, and this magpie eclecticism informs their music today, borrowing from dub and hip hop as much as from Cuba and North Africa, interlacing stunning vocals with complex beats, “a cosmopolitan workout for mind and feet!” (***** The Scotsman). At the heart of their artistic approach is collaboration and tonight they’ll be playing new material and showing new films as well as talking about their creative process.
