MAAR at St George's Bristol

A gig held at St George's Bristol on Saturday 3rd October. The event starts at 19:30.

In the summer of 2024, long-time collaborators and friends Ösp Eldjárn, Valeria Pozzo, and Helga Ragnars retreated to a cabin in rural Iceland, where they wrote the three songs appearing on their recently released debut EP, The Wave. Thus MAAR were formed: crystal-clear three-part vocal harmonies, gorgeous lyrics, and beautifully evocative acoustic instrumentation. At the heart of their sound is the interweaving of all three members’ voices, creating a stunning sonic interplay, uniquely their own. Shaped by collaboration and friendship, their music is intimate, deceptively simple, and unforced. It flows like a conversation between close friends.
