Beethoven Symphony No 10 (1st movement)

Grieg Piano Concerto in A minor Op 16

Dvo k Noon Day Witch Op 108

Bridge Dance Rhapsody

Grieg's Piano Concerto forms the centre-piece of this varied programme conducted by the Hall Orchestra's assistant conductor, Jamie Phillips, with the young Romanian pianist Alexandra Dariescu. This concert provides a rare opportunity to hear the first movement of Beethoven's 10th Symphony in a reconstruction by Professor Barry Cooper. Jamie's interpretation of Dvo k has been highly praised so it is fitting that the BHCO should play Noon Day Witch a beautiful tone-poem inspired by Czech Folk.
