The Troubadour in Waterloo Street, Clifton, has been described as the most famous and influential folk club outside London. Running from Friday 6 October 1966 until closure in 1971, it hosted performances by John Martyn, Sandy Denny, the Incredible String Band, Bert Jansch, Al Stewart and pretty much everyone who was anyone in what turned out to be the golden age of English acoustic music. Artists already confirmed include Michael Chapman, Wizz Jones, Steve Tilston, Keith Christmas & Shelagh McDonald, Andy Leggett & friends, Ian A Anderson, Ian Hunt, Jim Moray, Heg & The Wolf Chorus and Three Cane Whale, with more to be announced.

Panel Discussion, 4pm

Chaired by Ian Anderson, with guest speakers talking about the club and its heritage. In the Doric Room (crypt). Tickets £5 (plus fees)
