An event held at St George's Bristol on Tuesday 20th October. The event starts at 19:15.
Join Queer Poetry Bristol for our October Book Club, where we are discussing Mingle by Caleb Parkin. Described as dark and mischievous, this second collection by the ex-Bristol City Poet observes the systems we rely on and their ever-present effects, considering our intermingled world with fragility and wit.
Very Small Bookshop in Bedminster has very kindly offered a discount for book club attendees ordering from their store; just mention Queer Poetry Bristol when you pop in! It's independent and queer-owned, so please support them. The book is also available through Nine Arches Press, or consider purchasing it pre-owned. If price is a barrier, feel free to contact us via the details below and we'll help however we can.
Queer Poetry Bristol is a community for queer voices to discuss, share and engage with all things poetry. Anyone new to poetry is very welcome and encouraged to come along! There is no pressure to have finished the book entirely, as poems will be read by the group during the discussion. If you are no longer able to attend, please return your ticket and let us know so that we can try to fill the spot.
St George's Bristol has kindly allowed us to use the Heritage Space free of charge. It's an incredible venue, so please be sure to support them by purchasing a drink from their café bar. For access information please visit www.stgeorgesbristol.co.uk/your-visit/access/
