Comedy legends Sara Pascoe and Arthur Smith headline RIOT ACT’s special anniversary show alongside an all-star lineup of cabaret heroes.

Stars of stage, screen and radio, comedy legends Sara Pascoe and Arthur Smith headline a night of unforgettable high-octane fun in celebration of two years of Bristol’s madcap cabaret, RIOT ACT. Sharp, whip-smart and brilliantly funny, join us to kick off our third year in action with two of the UK’s most beloved comedians.

From hare-brained idea to back-to-back sell-out shows and crowd-favourite appearances across the UK festival circuit, our first two years in action have been a wild ride. Troubled by the new pressures on mental health that we all face in the world today, we set out to create a daring alternative to mainstream entertainment which put the full spectrum of Bristol’s creativity centre stage. What started as an open mic night in the basement of a decommissioned police station has quickly become an exceptional institution of laughter respected nationwide.  

Known for our madcap combination of performance styles, breathtaking energy and feel-good mix of superstar headliners with local creative champions, we’re excited to bring you our most impressive and daring show yet.

- Darryl J Carrington: local clowning legend, fresh from a blockbuster Edinburgh Fringe run

- Stephen Bisland: Riot Act’s anti-king of Comedy

Representing for Poetry:

- Sukina Noor: Bristol City Poet, rockstone soulful legend of UK spoken word
- Redeeming Features: high-octane international sensation, the UK’s Crown Prince of Punk Poetry
- Eliza Fiver: Gonzo poet extraordinaire, London town’s newest anti-hero of comic verse 

And RIOT ACT instigator Sam Riot takes to the microphone stand to host what will surely be one of the greatest feel-good nights out of the year.
