Echo Engine with Pete Judge at St George's Bristol
See event details

A gig held at St George's Bristol on Wednesday 4th November. The event starts at 19:30.

Formed by keyboardist Daniel Biro, sonic artist and groove architect Adrian Newton, and guitarist Rob Palmer, the group grew out of a long-running collaboration between Biro and Palmer, whose 2004 album The Long Journey Home was released on Sargasso Records. Newton’s distinctive approach to live electronics and rhythmic texture helped shape the project into the fully realised trio it is today.

Conceived as a fluid and expandable project, Echo Engine regularly collaborates with guest musicians to broaden its sonic world. For tonight’s performance, part of John Law’s PPianissimo Series, the trio are joined by Bristol multi-instrumentalist Pete Judge, best known as the trumpeter with Get the Blessing, Eyebrow, and chamber-folk trio Three Cane Whale.

Support comes from Uncle Homunculus, whose blend of improvisation, ambient soundscapes and Eno-inspired live looping creates a quiet, immersive refuge—an invitation to drift, listen, and briefly escape the noise.
