A
event
on Sunday 29th June. The event starts at 14:00.
This event is for Queer folks, their children and allies! A joyful family friendly affair as an act of connection and resistance. Gather in the park (hopefully in the sunshine!), bring a beverage, and make a pinched pot vessel to hold food, drink, trinkets or your thoughts n wishes. This will be back-to-basics pottery, seated on the grass with minimal tools, our hands and the earth to mould within them. A chance to heal and connect while actively doing something for the people in Palestine who are trying to survive genocide.
You will have guidance on the pinch pot technique, how to add surface texture and refine your pot. There will be coloured slips available in the the colours of the Palestinian flag to paint onto your pots if you wish. I will take your pots away at the end of the workshop to glaze and fire them for you, ready for collection a few weeks later.
️ All tickets will be set as a Pay What You Can product, minimum £20. Children can come for free with their grown ups, with conscientious supervision. £8 per ticket will cover the costs of materials and kiln firings, and the remainder of your ticket fee will be donated. Please give as generously as you can.
The funds raised will be donated to the Gaza Sunbirds - a Gazan led organisation, delivering aid from the ground. https://gazasunbirds.org/
