on Wednesday 29th May. The event starts at 07:30.
This is the first show in a 4 date finale tour of James Patrick Gavin´s debut album, Chewing The Fat.
The album was launched with a sell out show in London´s Union Chapel in early 2018.
The album CHEWING THE FAT blends folk tunes, songs, spoken word and field recordings in an ode to
roots and identity. It’s a unique sonic world that both showcases his instrumental skill, compositional prowess and his broad talent for collaboration.
James, from North London, is a multi-instrumentalist composer with musical and family roots running from Northern Ireland to the Basque Country.
Steeped in Irish music, his unique approach to guitar and fiddle is described as “magnificent in its irreverence” (Folk Radio UK). Working at the forefront of London’s folk music scene, James can be found amongst the ranks of TEYR, The Rad Orchestra, Jez Hellard & The Djukella Orchestra and beyond.”
