2025-2026
"The course progressed in a very supportive way. And Asher spoke up and named things that might be causing people uncertainty or discomfort, so that scary things didn't get hidden or side-lined. That made it all feel very safe....I loved Simon's playful, dance-infused musical input!"

"It really works for me to be with a 6 month group to nurture trust... I felt very welcomed and safe and really appreciated the soft space for rest and processing. The group check-ins also really helped me to connect to the group and feel safe and brave.... I happily carry the warm experiences of this course into my everyday movements and feel courage to enter into other CI spaces in the future.... Thank you so much to you and Sarah for your compassionate, humble, joyful, inclusive approach to teaching CI.
2024-2025
Simon's incredible music [was a highlight] especially when he moves in the jam whilst playing..."

"All of it was fascinating and I really enjoy the chance to drill new patterns and play with new people.... Each month fed into the next and I noticed an improvement in my movement practice."
J.T.
"Full of love for Asher and Sarah and everyone who co-created this.... [I felt] very well looked after thank you! Emotional safety and physical safety were taken seriously.... I particularly loved layering in how you taught, floor work, animaling, rolling and islanding with each other.... The notes are great, as I didn't take notes."
M.W.
"I really like your teaching style Asher, thank you.... I felt completely physically safe and supported..... It was very useful to see Sarah and Asher demonstrate particular moves/ activities. Thank you.....It was really beautiful music that aided the expressiveness of my dance.... I definitely felt more comfortable with the group as time went on and by the end there was a beautiful sense of togetherness in growth and trust."

"All of it was fascinating and I really enjoy the chance to drill new patterns and play with new people.... You make it accessible to everybody, regardless of ability. I think you’re teaching is sensitive and very fundamentally not shaming to people....
I think Simon was a brilliant musician, highly intuitive and really able to read the room. I can only wholeheartedly recommend his further use in your program because I think he is exceptional and multi talented. He is also very humble, as are you and this is a very safe-making aspect."

2023-2024****
“It was ideal for me, I'll miss doing it every month (...) I felt increasingly more able to move in a way that felt good, my nervous system was so regulated by each of the days (….) I think this was the effect of your approach [and] the group who I felt really comfortable with as the months went on. The check-in circles and group warm-ups were also really helpful for reflection and feeling safe within the group.”
“Inspirational teaching in a supportive environment….I felt that the group dynamic developed really well.”
“It was good, I’d do it again. Liked the format, liked the facilitator, liked the music and the musician.”
“It was really nice to grow trust in the group.”
About the Teacher, Asher Levin
is based in Dartington and loves being and interacting with the land and elements. He’s been practicing Contact Improvisation, physical theatre, teaching and leading workshops for a quarter-century. He's taught CI internationally since 2008. In CI, play and being, he loves the practice of trusting ourselves and others - even within the unknown, and re-seeing the known afresh for the first time. He loves old friends too. Being off-balance and free, yet focused and caring, as CI invites, is incredibly liberating and enriching. In CI, currently Asher is particularly interested in the interplay of spaciousness and intimacy, dynamic, tenderness and finding the unusual. He enjoys whole group scores and the partner or trio, within the social, physical and spiritual environment.
