Summer Workshop at St Michael's Studio

A event on Friday 17th July. The event starts at 09:00.

IMPERMANENCE...
9am - 1pm: Dance class from 9am - 10.30am, followed by a creative session
Venue: St Michael's Studio (Memorial Parish Hall) - next to The Mount Without

Class: We will start with a class to gently start the day and connect with your body. Aimed at, but not exclusively for, people over 50 who want to develop their balance, coordination, flexibility and strength in a safe but challenging way. We will work slowly and deeply to get the endorphins flowing and the body responding to some key contemporary dance patterns and techniques. The extended time for class allows for more time to work into the longer movement phrases.

Creative Session: After a short break, we will explore some of IMPERMANENCE's methods of creating dance theatre productions through improvisation, creative tasks and repertoire from the company. A chance to play with new dance material and keep moving for the whole morning.
