What Change Do We Want? A Creative Conversation on Women' Safety at St Pauls Learning Centre, 94 Grosvenor Road Classroom 2 Saint Paul's BS2 8XJ
See event details

A event on Wednesday 2nd July. The event starts at 18:30.

Join us for a free, welcoming and creative session where women aged 18–30 can come together to talk openly about safety — especially on buses and on the streets — and help shape a bold public campaign.

This session is part of a new project that will explore how we can raise awareness, take up space, and challenge the things that make public spaces feel unsafe. We want to hear from you about what needs to change, who should be listening, and how we can make our voices heard in ways that are creative, powerful and possible.

Whether you’ve had personal experiences, strong opinions, or you’re just curious — this is a chance to speak, listen, connect and imagine what change could look like.

We’ll ask questions like:

What makes you feel unsafe in public spaces like streets and buses?
Who do you think needs to hear these stories — and how?
What would real change look or feel like?
What kind of public action or creative intervention would grab attention and spark conversation?
This will be a relaxed and informal space — no pressure to share if you don’t want to. You don’t need to be an artist, activist or expert. Just come as you are.

What to Expect:

A creative, discussion-based session with other women aged 18–30
A chance to contribute to a project that centres your voice
Free food
Friendly facilitators and a supportive space
We can reimburse bus tickets
You can attend one or both sessions — whatever suits you best. This is just the beginning of the project — there’ll be more chances to get involved later, if you’d like to.

Entry requirements: 18+
