A
event
on Wednesday 4th March. The event starts at 19:00.
This year we have seen a renewed aggression from imperialist powers in many parts of the world: The US kidnapped the legitimate leader of Venezuela. The new Syrian regime supported by Turkey has launched an offensive into the autonomous region of Rojava. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Russia continue to fuel the war in Sudan to advance their own interests. The genocide of Palestinians by Israel backed by Western powers carries on...
But should we expect anything less? At what point do we say enough? What does resistance look like in the belly of the beast?
This event will include a panel and mini-assembly. Four speakers will give short inputs on each particular area of focus: Palestine, Rojava, Sudan and Venezuela. Then each will be asked questions to draw out the commonalities they see between these apparently unrelated aggressions and - most importantly – what we need to be doing in Bristol right now to accelerate the process of global revolution.
The last part of the event will be a mini-assembly in small groups where everyone will have the opportunity to think together about our responsibilities at this time.
· The venue is fully accessible for wheelchair users. https://www.stpaulslc.co.uk/accessibility

· The inputs will likely include descriptions of death, sexual violence and political oppression so is limited to those over 16 years of age.
