An evening exploring the theme of "moving on" and how we respond to streetworkers through poetry and music while raising money for local Bristol charity, One25.
The event is totally FREE so please bring your friends. Ale, Prosecco, warm drink and food will be on sale.

Ushti Baba
Ushti Baba are a Bristol-based band who blend a mixture of Eastern and Western European folk music with Jungle, Drum n Bass and Dubstep rhythms. Combining an array of acoustic instruments and beatbox they are originators and pioneers of Gypsy Jungle Turbo Folkstep, the title of their first EP. The set covers Sea-Shanty Gabba, songs about agricultural revolution, Romany Gypsy numbers, Sicilian exorcism tunes and traditional Klezmer wedding tunes.
Ushti Baba are touring Europe this year after headling Priddy Folk Festival and playing 6 performances at Glastonbury. They are due to release a new EP this year so watch this space!
Paperwalls
Paperwalls are a mix of tight rhythms, chiming guitars and vocals aimed straight at the heart.Fronted by gospel-choir trained vocalist Lu Willott, Paperwalls are all about the songs. Stories of love and heartbreak, lifting the soul or tearing at the emotions, are underscored by taut bass and creative beats, and topped out with guitars that can slice or soar. Luke Concannon (Nizlopi) says: "I love the depth and honesty in their writing... thriving artists!".

There will be a short talk from the charity we're raising money for, One25 Charity and then a really great open mic night. Tonight, women will wait on Bristol’s dark streets for a car to stop. They’ll get in, not knowing if they’ll come out alive. They are trapped in a cycle of violence, poverty and addiction and they are desperate. This is how they have learnt to survive. In the last year, One25 has helped 59 brave women escape street sex-work and begin to repair broken lives. Your support will help more women find freedom from the streets. Find out more at:
