EQUINOX: A pilgrimage of folk tales, pagan myths and legends

Friday 23 September – Sunday 25 September 2016

For all it’s beauty, the countryside can be a queer and sinister place. Folk legends, myths and characters form the backbone of life in the village. To celebrate the BFI’s Britain on Film season, Compass Presents will be unveiling some of the mysteries of ancient rural countrysides in inner city Bristol.

Join us on a promenade experience that will lead you around the wild places of Boiling Wells to discover hidden histories and forgotten stories told through the medium of archival film. Look out for signs of Pagan ritual and beware suspicious characters… The promenade culminates in a special outdoor screening of The Wicker Man.
