See event details

A event held at St Werburghs Community Centre on Saturday 6th September. The event starts at 10:00.

Have you ever been curious about Contact Improv? Want to try it in a queer-led space?

Come and join us for this taster session, for LGBTQI+ people who want a gentle introduction to the practice of Contact Improvisation, in an accessible and inclusive space.

Contact Improvisation is an energizing dance form that brings movement to life through touch, shared weight, and physical awareness. It’s a relational practice that brings out new ways of dancing, playing with safe risk, and connecting to your body and others, in community.

Facilitated by two experienced CI practitioners Ania Varez (they/them) and Rhiannon Colvin (she/her), we will introduce the foundations of this technique and give you a taster of what our 8-week beginners course will be like.

No previous experience is needed, just comfy clothes and your wonderful self!

Entry requirements: no age restrictions
