Needle Felting Birds at St Werburghs Community Centre
£10 (+ Eventbrite fee)

A clubnight held at St Werburghs Community Centre on Sunday 17th November. The event starts at 14:00.

In this session we will be making birds!

I will demonstrate the basics of needle felting and then allow you to be freely creative. You can make any bird you like; realistic or imaginary (or something entirely different if you prefer). You can also embellish your birds with feathers, yarns, beads or embroidery thread too!

Needle felting is a simple art which is easy to learn. Using a special needle, wool roving is woven and manipulated into shapes and patterns. It's a bit like sculpting and painting with wool! With only a little guidance, you will soon be making your own beautiful creations.

Needle crafts are proven to have the same effect on the brain as meditation; promoting wellbeing, relaxation and focus. Needle felting does not work to a pattern, there is no counting or stitches to learn, allowing you to be freely creative.

All materials and a generous and varied supply of tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits included. If you have any dietary requirements please let me know.

Under 18s must be accompanied by their grown up (not suitable for children under 12)

Beginners and experts welcome!

Booking is essential as spaces are limited.
