Queer Contact Improvisation: Taster Session at St Werburghs Community Centre

A event held at St Werburghs Community Centre on Wednesday 2nd September. The event starts at 18:30.

Curious about Contact Improvisation? Want to explore movement in a queer, welcoming space?

Join us for a gentle, beginner-friendly taster session designed especially for LGBTQI+ folks. This is a chance to explore connection through movement, build body awareness, and play with touch, balance, and shared weight - all at your own pace.

Contact Improvisation is a dynamic and creative dance practice rooted in listening, trust, and curiosity. Together, we’ll explore simple foundations that open up new ways of moving, relating, and expressing yourself.

Led by experienced CI practioners Ania Varez (they/them) and Rhiannon Colvin (she/her), this session offers a supportive introduction and a glimpse into our upcoming 5-week beginners course.

No experience needed - just bring comfy clothes and yourself.
