as we walk the ‘pipe walk’ following a natural Spring from the 12th century starting at Springfield Allotment to St Mary Redcliffe Church passing through Victoria Park.
Along the way we will stop to hear live music from Agnes Sales and forager Max Moorcroft will be identifying urban plants that may pop up in any roadside nook or cranny on our walk.

The history of the Pipe Walk
12th century Bristol, the Lord Manor of Bedminster gave a historic natural freshwater spring in Knowle to St Mary Redcliffe parish to create the city’s first clean water sippy via underground lead pipes.
Every October people walk the ‘pipe walk‘ as they have done for the last 800 years.
