We are absolutely honored to see the return of our pal Mick Harris aka Blare Weight Unit, aka Lull, fka Scorn, aka the best stick man Napalm Death ever had who also featured in psycho-jazz John Zorn lead band Painkiller. This time showcasing his brand new alias Blare Weight Unit.

BENNY ILL

A man who needs no introduction... we are super pleased to have Benny Ill in the backroom with his heavy weight, smoked out, dubbed out Garage and Dubstep sounds.

Benny Ill (born Ben Garner) has been producing music for over a decade under various alias’s including the dub laced sounds of Bill & Ben.
Benny is also a regular DJ at Forward>» in the UK.

As a producer (as well as being one eighth of Horsepower Productions) he is half of the out fit Dub War and also records under the alia’s High Planes Drifter plus collaborated while living in NYC New York for 2 years with Big Apple’s DJ Hatcha and DJ Dinesh / Goldspot for projects on the record label Tempa.

“Benny Ill used to come in the shop. Back in the early garage days he was trying to make garage but he was putting the snare on the wrong beat, on the three beat. It made it more like … he loves dub reggae… he was making dub reggae garage. We were like ‘this is weird’ but Hatcha loved it but Hatcha called it dubstep. It was Benny Ill that started it, without a doubt.”

KELAN:

Celebrating his 35th Birthday, Kelan brings his confrontational, up front, geezer fuelled Industrial live show to the backroom of Bristol, most Brew regulars should now know what to expect.

MEDIS:

Manoeuvring through UK’s major cities, Medis has developed a distinctly unique approach to her production and sets, constantly pushing the boundaries of the UK club scene. Having found a home in Bristol’s booming underground scene, Medis is quickly becoming a household name, gaining support from Fabric, Noods, RinseFM & SWU.fm. “A DJ you need to know” - said Giant Swan, Om Unit, Addison Groove and other artists alike who have supported her rise.

Recently she has been backed by label legend, Alix Perez for his 1985 resident parties.

MAD GIRL:

Mad Girl is the dark, post-industrial and minimal-synth solo project of Bristol-based artist and producer Margot Pereira (formerly of Fever 103). Her debut 6-track EP, [Body Count], was released on cassette via the experimental noise label Industrial Coast.
