Ever since we started our regular party at Strange Brew, we knew Specter had to play. Those who came to the club for his last appearance can testify that it was a truly magical night. The kind where the whole venue feels like it's traveling through outer space and the crowd is totally open and lost in music.
From his roots throwing DIY parties on the Chicago loft scene and his cult Tetrode record label with Damon Lamar, to his long standing association with Theo Parrish via b2b throwdowns & his releases on Sound Signature- Specter has built a worldwide reputation as a master of the craft.
His sound is unique and unclassifiable, yet rooted in classic Chicago DJ culture, a sound that can move freely between genres while the rhythm beats on eternally. House in a true and honest sense.
As Theo Parrish put it in an interview when asked why Specter is his favourite DJ: "Because he's clean .. And he takes risks!”
