A clubnight held at Strange Brew on Friday 23rd September. The event starts at 22:00.

Disco certainly isn't dead for our first outing at the iconic Strange Brew; as we bring a true legend down for an unforgettable night of soulful house grooves, basslines dripping with funk and uplifting dancefloor bangers to keep your body and soul twisting and jacking all night long!

Maurice Fulton | (Bubbletease Communications)
One of house music's true originals, Maurice started his DJ career back in '82 at the age of 13 and never looked back. Cutting his teeth at garage nights before taking a turn to production with some massive bangers (Gypsy Woman anyone?). His productions have found a home everywhere from Warp to Imperial, Pagan UK to Sahko and now his own label, Bubbletease Communications. Dubbed the 'Yankee King of Weird House' by Jockey Slut back he's held true to that title, effortlessly melding euphoric piano stabs, hi-NRG disco, rumbling 808s and delicious vocal hooks all night long. Excited? You bet we are!

TEM | (Freedom of Groovement, Radio Tempo Não Pára)
TEM from the Freedom of Groovement crew has been tearing up dancefloors from and airwaves with his blend of international dusty funk cuts, deep-dug cosmic rhythmics from the golden era of trippy disco and stacks of rolling, flowing percussion percussive grooves. A staple on Amsterdams Radio Tempo Não Pára with their 'Where in the World' series of interviews and mixes as well as an archival mix series on 1020 Radio exploring disco-adjacent sounds from 23 different nations.

Paradisco DJs | (1020 Radio, Paradisco)
Bristol's backroom sweaty shakedown crew step away from Stokes Croft and into the rippling lights of Strange Brew, after 8 years of holding down their bi-monthly Paradisco night residents SPICYIVY and Burly Chassis will be flexing their slick boogie muscles behind the booth - expect big synth bass, late night discotheque classics and plenty of bongo breakdowns.
