Harp innovator and ambient music experimenter Mary Lattimore’s latest release ‘Collected Pieces II’ harnesses her 47-stringed instrument with the augmenting power of her Line 6 loop station and combining it with guitars and Moog synthesisers, her otherworldly loops and dreamy arpeggios weave an “ambient masterwork of great emotive power” (Pop Matters). With each crafted pluck you’ll be transported to the expansive landscapes of America as Lattimore unfurls these beautiful instrumentals with “dizzying emotionality” (Pitchfork).
Ben Bertrand is a Belgian bass clarinet player and composer who hijacks his instrument by using loops and effects pedals. The artist thus transforms the sounds of the clarinet into electronic sounds, and creates a hypnotic musical journey. A synthesis of very diverse influences, Ben Bertrand's universe is based on traditional and ancestral music, American minimalists such as Steve Reich and Terry Riley, and current electronic music. The composer skillfully manages to bridge the gap between extreme modernity and references
to the past. With his previous works ('Era/Area' (2017), 'Off-Record' (2017) and 'NGC 1999' (2018) as well as 'Manes' on the albums Claus and Stroom), Ben has toured mainly in Belgium, France and the Netherlands (Meakusma Festival, Ancienne Belgique, Festival Présences électronique, le lieu unique, Festival Maintenant, BRDCST Festival, Schiev Festival, Le Guess Who ?) His latest album 'Dokkaebi' was released on 1 October 2021 on the albums claus for a multi-musician orchestration on stage. bass clarinet, effects, pedals
