Winter warmer from us as we welcome Nagoya’s psychedelic polymath Foodman and Edinburgh’s mercurial mastermind Proc Fiskal for their first time at PTS, with warmup from our very own k means.

❉ Foodman (Electribe live set)
Foodman aka 食品まつり has spent well over a decade gleefully taking electronic music apart and putting it back together in increasingly bizarre shapes. Footwork, ambient, oddball sampling and psychedelic bursts of percussion collide in his uniquely off-kilter productions, with releases on Hyperdub and Orange Milk cementing his reputation as one of Japan's most singular musical minds. His latest album HIKARIGASASHIKOMU pushes things further into strange new territory, twisting warped vocals and fragments of children's songs into something entirely his own.

❉ Proc Fiskal
Edinburgh's Proc Fiskal has carved out his own hyperactive strain of grime, twisting breakneck rhythms, video game melodies and chopped-up samples into intricate, technicolour club music. His productions for Hyperdub have increasingly folded in influences from Scottish folk and classical music, most recently on his Exchequer EP, where lush strings collide with the restless energy of his earlier work. Playful, unpredictable and frequently operating at full throttle.

FFO: Iglooghost, Hudson Mohawke, Zomby
