Snuggle + Reckonwrong + Matthew Muli at Strange Brew
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Attn RMC heads: it's high time for some fresh fruit from Copenhagen's avant-pop hothouse. Snuggle's woozy, tender songwriting chock is full of ML Buch-style rubbery guitar contortions and shimmering ambient textures – stick ‘em on a line-up with RIP Swirl’s moody electronica-gaze + Reckonwrong’s David-Byrne-gone-clubland dance-pop and this one sells itself."

Lineup change: We’re sad to announce that due to unforeseen circumstances, RIP Swirl won't be able to play on Friday. We wish him all the best, and look forward to hosting him in Bristol another time.

Stepping in will be Bristol-based rapper, poet and producer Matthew Muli - who first came to our attention performing and releasing on Aloisius’ life is beautiful project, and later on with a live session Raisa K’s NTS show.

it's our (kneed) first outing at the brew, and we've stacked the lineup full of dreamy and hazy alternative indie/pop goodness from three of our all time favourite acts.

Snuggle is a Copenhagen-based duo: Andrea Thuesen (Baby in Vain) and former Liss guitarist Vilhelm Strange, joining worlds. Both guitar players at heart, it's riffs on riffs and rhythms, threaded with intimate conversations. Their Goodbyehouse release on Escho, is full of perfect sun-soaked melodies.
FFO: ML Buch, Erika de Casier, Smerz.

Reckonwrong is a London based musician and producer, who first came to DJ at knee deep in 2016, playing alongside bullion in a very memorable night of wonky dance music. Back then he was releasing off-kilter techno and house, before pivoting to eccentric voice and Fender Rhodes-led experimental songwriting, which we can't get enough of.
FFO: Arthur Russell, Tirzah, Robert Wyatt

Matthew Muli is a poet/rapper, and music producer based in Bristol. Matthews words are expressed, within guitar and sample based beats
