A
clubnight
held at Strange Brew
on Friday 8th August. The event starts at 22:00.
Heya PLUers and those yet to dance with us…
We invite you to our 2nd of two Trans Family Fundraisers, in partnership with our friends at Strange Brew (who are kindly working with us at no cost) to bring to you and the dance 2 very special guests to their legendary backroom club space.
We are super honoured to share with you that Ãbnamã (Dump / Body Language) will be joining us for the headline spot.
We have wanted to book her for a while now and are thrilled that the stars have eventually aligned. Hailing from Iran via Berlin, through a degree of separation she is part of our extended PLU family with beauts Diamin and RRRKRTA – if you know you know and if you don’t you need to
Resident at Berlin's beloved queer powerhouse Body Language, ābnamā, draws in and holds dancefloors through carefully crafted narrative arcs with unwavering fidelity to the unknown within the familiar.
As an obsessive digger, heavily influenced by the obscure and the occult, she rediscovers lost lineages and weaves back together buried and unspoken fantasies from the legacy of the past three decades of dance music and beyond with a keen ear for the highest camp.
Expect thumping soulful and raw house house vibrations, with techoid & rave undertones or whatever flavour Ãbnamã decides to serve up to us…it will be tasty
In support on the evening and opening the dance for us is the amazing Maxi (Queerky)
Maxi's sets are guided by her current sonic fixations — think spine-tingling melodies, percussive curveballs, and a steady build of tension that keeps the floor locked in. A resident at Queerky, co-organiser of PLU Summer Camp, and a regular choice for ballroom functions across the UK, she brings sharp instincts and serious groove wherever she plays.
Sandwiched between these 2 beauts peoplelikeusdj will be bringing their usual wonky electronics.
