Lena Willikens (Salon Des Amateurs / NTS)

Lena Willikens has spent decades tuning her ear to the stranger corners of club music. From ’90s raves and the bar at Salon des Amateurs to NTS, dancefloors around the world and her own productions, her practice has grown through a constant accumulation of sounds, scenes and associations.

Her selections move with a logic of their own, pulling together bass pressure, warped electronics, motorik pulse, synth mutations and things that are harder to name. There’s a physical intelligence to it, a sense of rhythm that can stretch and bend without ever losing its grip. Alongside her solo work, collaborations with Vladimir Ivkovic and Sarah Szczesny have taken these ideas into other places too, but the impulse stays the same: keep listening, keep digging and see where it leads.

Lynne (Unknown Species / Chaos Ambiants)

Lynne is a Japanese, London-based artist whose work moves through the outer reaches of drum & bass, experimental electronics and sound design. Rooted in the physicality of rhythm but drawn towards its more abstract possibilities, her sets occupy a space where broken percussion, dense atmospheres and strange, shifting textures pull the dancefloor into unfamiliar territory.

A winner of the Samurai Music Mix competition in 2015, Lynne has spent the decade since refining a singular approach to rhythm—one that slips between genre boundaries without ever fully settling in one place. Her sound exists in the grey areas: heavy but elusive, cerebral but deeply physical, with the pulse of drum & bass acting as a gravitational centre.

Now a resident of Unknown Species and Les Chaos Ambiants, she continues to explore the liminal space between atmosphere and abstraction, pushing deeper into the stranger edges of the dancefloor.

Saskia LIVE (Accidental Meetings / LYL Radio)

A sound artist from Kanagawa, Japan, Saskia explores the deep connections between space, emotion, and music. Now based in the UK, she creates works that move between ambient and rhythmically experimental sound, while also performing live and DJing. Her latest LP es, released in 2024, is an experimental narrative that explores “something invisible yet undeniably present”, touching on vitality and the power of observation. Guided by the concept of “Sound to _____ this magnificent cell,” her music constantly invites listeners on new journeys.

Anina (Young Echo)

Forward-thinking while still drawing on the UK's rich bass continuum, Bristol based DJ Anina fiercely traverses tempos and genres - marrying ruff breakbeats, precision percussion, lo-fi atmospherics and low-end experimentalism.
