Rafael Toral
Built around the emotional, harmonic splendor of Traveling Light, Guitar Concert displays the present stage in the evolution of Rafael Toral's own 40-year path with the electric guitar, which it also celebrates.
Besides Traveling Light (a new album of jazz standards produced in parallel to Spectral Evolution), Guitar Concert invites the audience to reconnect with landmarks of Toral discography, including pieces from Sound Mind Sound Body or Violence of Discovery and Calm of Acceptance, along with material from his acclaimed Spectral Evolution and spontaneous moments like the new piece Layers.
Guitar Concert draws from a larger repertoire which is being prepared for live performance in its entirety, expanding into a flexible guitar concert with an interchangeable, even customizable set list. It's Toral's ongoing movement towards a a wider understanding and more engaged connection to the guitar, more committed to taking risks and challenges.
A perfect successor to the unanimously well received Spectral Evolution Live performances, Guitar Concert is also a celebration of beauty and light, a humble attempt to honor the notion of music as a “healing force of the universe.

Jo Johnson
For three decades Jo Johnson has sought community and catharsis through intimate yet expansive sonic experiences – from punk, to techno and, for the last 15 years making deeply expressive and minimal electronic music, exploring the subtle power of intensity in sound with synths, sequencers and effects units.
Jo Johnson’s debut solo album, Weaving, was released on Further Records in 2014. Since then she has released albums on Going In (a sub-label of The Bunker NY) and Mysteries of the Deep. Her last album, Let Go Your Fear, was released on UK label Castles in Space in August 2024. Jo performs meditative, immersive sets at many prestigious events and venues, such as The Purcell Room at London’s Southbank, Cafe Oto, Return to the Source (Detroit), Variations (New York) and Parallel (Spain). She’s a Freerotation festival resident and a regular at Castles in Space events in the UK.
In January 2025, Jo launched Alterations, a slow album project that she is recording and releasing track-by-track throughout 2025 on Bandcamp. Each track comes with a package of subscriber-only Remnants – discarded audio, reworks, notes, photos and coincidental field recordings. Her goal is to make more music and stay connected during bleak and sometimes exhausting times.
