A
clubnight
held at Strange Brew
on Saturday 23rd October. The event starts at 22:00.
As part of our in-house event series we are excited to announce!
Felix Hall (NTS/TTT)
Chloe Sage
Ghost Phone
London based Felix caught our attention via his TTT mixtape 'Warning' & NTS show. Both of which showcase his passion & knowledge of Jamaican soundsystem culture, with a particular emphasis and support for the 90s and 2000s dancehall & reggaeton sound - pure club heaters all mixed up in a flawless DJ style. Adding to this his involvement in compiling the second edition of the hugely influential 'Now Thing' compilation on his own Chrome label - which has been on regular play at Strange Brew HQ since its release - shines a light on the influence of the dancehall sound on the modern day disco. Make sure you check these things out for what to expect!
In support we have Bristol veteran(!) Sean Kelly who has been pushing & bending the R&B sound into new shapes via his edit series Ghost Phone. One of the most exciting Bristol labels in recent years and for our money he's probably the best DJ in town.
B2B with Ghost Phone we have Bristol rising star Chloe Sage whose DJ style & knowledge have made her one to watch in recent times - expect a dose of old school / new school RnB & Rap. Make sure you check her show on SWU.FM which showcase her love of the US & UK sounds.
