Paris based DJ Sundae will do the do in the front room with a 3hr set. Laurent has been casting light on killer music for some time now and has played at clubs like Salon des Amateurs, Inkonst, Concrete, and Opium. Initially releasing Chilean psych-folk and Arthur Russell affiliate Nirosta Steel’s lost productions on the gone-too-soon Hollie Records, Laurent has more recently been working via his Idle Press imprint. Scope and selection here is always intriguing, ranging from proto-trance ‘wonders ovze world’ to no wave classics and celestial techno experimentations. Sundae is also one of the heads behind the life-changing ‘Sky Girl’ comp that came out on Efficient Space a few years back. Alongside this, he co-hosts ‘No Weapon is Absolute’ on NTS with Cosmo Vitelli and has had mixes released on TTT and PAM. Local head aka.zato will warm things up beforehand. Extra subs to be installed for full user experience.
The back room will be set up for deep listening with Dali and Schwet taking the controls. Dali and Schwet are a common denominator behind all that is good in Bristol’s experimental scene. From Viridian Ensemble, to Harrga, EP/64 and DSC, Dali has been involved in a spectrum of boundary shifting live acts. While Schwet have been carefully curating the events through which many of these acts come to life. Together they will invite you into their respective musical worlds.
Purple Taiko will also be providing visuals on her unique CRT monitors. More on this to come, but expect 24 screens of analogue glitch magik.
