Knives, Death Goals, Every Hell & Bureau De Change at Strange Brew
See event details

A gig held at Strange Brew on Saturday 4th May. The event starts at 19:00.

Bristolian Post Punk band Knives debuted with their First EP “Newshounds'' in April 2023 before releasing their highly anticipated cover of Kate Bush's Babooshka. With their pop infused style that invents a fresh spin on punk, they have taken a leap into the UK alternative circuit. They have thrived playing shows alongside flagship punk bands; Mclusky, CLT DRP, Tokky Horror, LIFE, and Enola Gay. Their chaotic live set captures attention from anyone in the audience. Although they have many more shows to come, Knives are looking forward to releasing more shouting anthems, critiquing our societal challenges. Since the release of their first single, Knives have revelled in its impressive response whilst selling out an energetic Rough Trade Bristol headline show that ignited a feeling of motivation which led them to bring the chaos around the EU later on in the year.

The effort is created by saxophonist Maddy Hill, Dan Farren and Josh Cook on guitar, bassist Ben Marshall, Erin Cook on Drums and Jay Schottlander on vocals (and on-stage nonsensical chatter). They all take creative leaps to design the soundtrack to an unforgettable gig, spitting out dramatic breakdowns and aggressive lyrics.

Entry requirements: 14+, any under 18s accompanied by 21+ adult 1:1 ratio
