A gig held at Strange Brew on Sunday 13th June. The event starts at 16:00.

Daniel Bean first met Anthony Child over a decade ago as part of the collective behind the Bleep43 parties in London, at which Surgeon was a regular performer. As well as being fellow enthusiasts of arcane music, their shared fondness for drones naturally resulted in a project dedicated to exploring the effect of tone and improvisation on consciousness, wrangling sounds from a diverse array of instruments via technology both old and new. Using drones and repetition, the aim is to enable the audience to transcend their surroundings, as the group’s name suggests. Taking the transformative effects of electronic music and techno in particular as a starting point, the project explores a tangential path of improvisation and experimentation.
