TRANS/FORM at Strange Brew

A event held at Strange Brew on Sunday 7th July. The event starts at 17:00.

Look inside us, we know you want to.

You’re curious… What makes us tick? What’re we hiding? What is it that makes us human?

Are we everything you’ve read about?

You’re invited to bite our nails, peel back our skin tags in a dissection of drag, dance and rageful storytelling. Our defiant, resilient, beautiful trans experiences.

TRANS/FORM is a drag x theatre show in response to the media mania against the trans community. It is a reclamation of our stories, our identities and our bodies.

“TRANS/FORM was a wonderful, unforgettable, exhilarating experience. House of Boussé enters into a metatextual conversation with harmful and dehumanising cultural narratives formed around trans bodies, turns those narratives on their head and radiates unadulterated queer joy all the while. An incredibly talented, funny, sharp-witted and piercingly honest troupe.” - Audience

“A cacophony of both the raw and gentle lulling that are to be expected when experiencing a five-dimensional mycelium network. The piece was seemingly created for all who experience the world through their tear ducts, but undoubtedly intended as a love letter to any trans+ person who was lucky enough to access it.” - Audience

This is a 11+ show, with all under 18's accompanied by an adult at a 1:1 ratio.

This show will discuss themes of transphobia, trans medicalism, mental health issues and isolation.
