SNOG presents: QuinzeQuinze, Heavy Petting & Jemima Coulter

QuinzeQuinze:

Multidisciplinary collective QuinzeQuinze channels the sounds of Polynesia, combining Tahitian traditions with electronic experimentations. Drawing on the heritage of two of their members, the Paris-based outfit’s music is inspired by ori deck – aka the burgeoning movement coming out of Tahiti that mixes moombahton rhythms, dubstep and reggaetón beats. In the world of QuinzeQuinze, these sounds are also fused with surreal sci-fi inspirations, avant-garde experimentalism and vivid narratives – their sonic realms augmented by their trippy 3D visual accompaniments.

With two EPs so far, QuinzeQuinze already count Jamz Supernova amongst their fans and have been spotlighted in ori deck focussed features on NTS and in Crack Magazine. With their full-length album due out next year, QuinzeQuinze’s Bristol debut is not one to miss.

Heavy Petting:

Heavy Petting returns for his first show in 4 years! The pop alias of Harry Wright aka Mun Sing aka ½ Giant Swan aka Illegal Data’s other dad, there is no limit to his musical genius: as Heavy Petting, he turns his inimitable skills to bonafide pop bangers. With previous outings at Thorny and his last show back in 2019 alongside Thrill Jockey noise-rockers BIG BRAVE and Sans, expect high-octane warped-pop intensity and mischief ft. audience participation from this Bristol legend.

Jemima Coulter:

Storyteller and Hailaker honcho Jemima constructs a world of trans-masc magic, somewhere between hallucination and waking world, populated by stories of body-swapping and clowns. Though their folk-pop wizardry has found Jemima collaborating with Bon Iver members, and touring with American Football - we’ll be hosting Jemima for a new, solo, experimental, Moog laden synth set
