Felicia Chen AKA Dis Fig, is a live act and DJ known for her unique blend of experimental sounds and dark, atmospheric compositions. Born in Hong Kong and raised in the United States, Dis Fig's cultural background and diverse musical influences are reflected in her music. She seamlessly combines elements of techno, bass, grime, and industrial with haunting vocals and intricate production techniques, creating an immersive sonic experience that pushes the boundaries of conventional electronic music. She has as worked alongside many different artists such as The Bug with their ‘In Blue’ LP on Hyperdub + is one of the members of the Asian Dope Boys collaboration project ‘TRANCE’ with Indonesian rave duo Gabber Modus Operandi, City (aka Will Ballantyne), etc etc. - If you haven’t listened to Dis Fig’s solo LP ‘PURGE’, check immediately. Heavy.
The lords of Nyege Nyege Tapes, Metal Preyers, a collaboration between London’s Jesse Hackett and Chicago’s Mariano Chavez with their debut Bristol live A/V show will be something unlike anything we’ve had at Strange Brew before. Metal Preyers' sound is characterized by its raw energy, infectious rhythms, and mysterious melodies with tribal-mechanical-industrial elements. They worked directly with Ugandan musicians who provided the source material of drums, Amadinda xylophones, Ndingidi fiddles and vocals that they later torched, morphed and sculpted to become heavy, treacherous, sludgy ballads. Have also worked alongside the don Lord Tusk on their albums that needs a mention, obviously!

Finally on the bill, Arcadia Planitia Five-a-Side Football Team. A squad of multi-instrumentalists bringing their improv-based Martian folklore soundscapes. New on the scene hailing from the caves of Bristol for their debut Strange Brew show. These kids will rock your socks!
