"Experimental improv trio Modulus III summon immersive soundscapes stacked with hypnotic arpeggios, cello stabs, and sculpted percussion. Their performances drift from celestial minimalism to jagged, rhythm-driven bursts. Portishead’s Adrian Utley joins for an unpredictable second set of mesmerising sonic architecture – essential FFO: anything Jonny Greenwood, Supersilent, Fuck Buttons."

A
gig
held at Strange Brew
on Thursday 4th December. The event starts at 19:00.
Modulus III is Dan Moore (Synths + Fender Rhodes) Matt Brown (Drums) and Drew Morgan (Cello + Synths).
They are known for their completely improvised sets that can go anywhere. Reich-esque minimalism, synth-driven film score or Krautrock-inspired elation via 70's Miles Davis? All fair game.
Adrian Utley joins for a very special second set. Though best known for his band Portishead, Adrian is a consummate musician who is constantly exploring, whether it's an improv set with Robert Fripp, producing albums, scoring films or guesting with a wide range of artists. He might play guitar. He might play synths. The joy of concerts like this is that we all find out together, the performers included.
Entry requirements: no age restrictions (under 18s to be accompanied by an adult over 21yrs, 1:1 ratio)
