"Debut UK/Bristol shows for avant-hip-hop noise starters Model Home. Ripping DC rap a new one with water damaged electronics and ultra-processed voice-as-instrument spitting from yung Nappa. Huge for fans of: clipping, Pink Siifu, Clouddead."

held at Strange Brew
on Thursday 9th June. The event starts at 19:30.
Model Home: "electronic and vocal duo from the diamond district. experiments in liberated sound and lifestyle. raw expression".
Via a slew of quick-fire releases for Disciples, Future Times and now Don Giovanni Records, MH are tearing a new (w)hole in what we can only label hip-hop/rap for a lack of better terms. In their first 2 years of existing, they dropped over 20 albums and collab'd with the likes of: His Name Is Alive, Pure Rave and Dolo Percussion We caught onto their madcap creative explosion early via comms with Disciples HQ so we're fulla beans to host them on their debut UK jaunt. This Bandcamp feature is a pretty great intro their universe...
"Nappa’s blurry-eyed spoken word raps should be recognised alongside the powerful polemics of Moor Mother or the explosive experimentation of Pink Siifu, or fellow DC legend Sir E.U. Nappa is an artist deeply entrenched in the expression of rap but one that recognises there are so many sonic ways in which to frame his state of mind. Which is why the frazzled sound design of Pat Cain has made Model Home such a perfect backdrop for Nappa to express himself. Rap existing in unison with raw electronixxx, dancehall, noise, industrial and whatever else they throw in the mix." - Future Times

We're double-hyped to be able to align this with another tour with certified oddball greats Horacio Pollard and Gaute Granli. We've been admiring their bizarro worlds from a distance for a number of years and think it's genuinely a perfect link-up with the bent/fried sounds of Model Home.
Berlin-based sound-collagist Horacio Pollard is "noise-eccentric" deep in the realms ov psyko-jazz trip-metal. This brand new LP is seriously some of the most art-damaged skronk we've heard in years.
"Armed with a Korg DDD1 sampler / drum machine, he delivers here an exhilarating avalanche of distorted jams filled with heavy analogue riffs, hypnotic jazzy grooves and fierce noise-drenched rhymes. Tribal industrial funk at its most devastating!" - Rough Trade https://horaciopollard.bandcamp.com/.../unskilled...

Similar story for Gaute Granli, we first heard their name via touring with Guttersnipe, and then their baffling/brilliant LP for Ultra Eczema. Honestly, try get your head around even that single track below...
