Schwet with OÏ les Ox, great area & Bride at Strange Brew
Headfirst Editor's Pick

"Sci-fi chanson and fractal dream-pop for Warp-fed androids - Oï les Ox licks you like an encoded love letter buried deep within the Fifth Element bonus disc. Weaving woozy and cryptic soundworlds that are totally indescribable / indispensable FFO: Voice Actor, Laurel Halo, AFX, Mica Levi, ML Buch, Broadcast."

Schwet presents an evening of experimental music, traversing noise to pop and back again...

"Parisian visual artist & composer Aude Van Wyller aka Oï les Ox (The Death of Rave, Primordial Void, Kraak) announces second album ‘AI les Axes’

A labyrinthine suite of warped electronics, protean sound poetry & fugitive sound sources; a captivating fever dream of otherworldly dysfunction. Intuitive one take compositions exploring AI, technological malfunction & identity loss

"Her astonishing debut album as Oï les Ox is a sprawling, kaleidoscopic, hour-long thrill-ride through intricate, interwoven and hugely ambitious styles that reminds us of the minimalist pop perfection of Broadcast’s 'Tender Buttons’, the percolating spectral brilliance of Stereolab’s ‘Dots & Loops’, as well as Trevor Duncan’s enveloping La Jetée soundtrack and Julia Holter’s masterpiece ’Tragedy’. Easily one of the most ambitious, layered and rewarding avant-pop albums we’ve heard in an age.’ – Boomkat

‘A stunning, dreamlike debut...operatic in theme and scope, and made up of four sprawling parts - each comprising multiple distant, exploratory transmissions and genre-defying sound collages. It's such a vast and seemingly fathomless work that it feels surreal and a bit overwhelming / disorienting upon first listen, but repeat plays reveal an eerily beautiful and ethereal avant-pop gem with much to discover in its misty nooks and crannies.’
– Gorilla vs Bear
