SEATED SHOW - tickets only £10!

Oren Ambarchi is a composer, guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, musical polymath and label boss with an incredibly prolific output. He has performed and recorded with a diverse array of artists such as Fennesz, Charlemagne Palestine, Sunn 0)), Thomas Brinkmann, Keiji Haino, Manuel Gottsching/Ash Ra & Merzbow...even Ricardo Villalobos. Releasing since the 90's, his recent 'Live Hubris', recorded at Cafe Oto, has to be heard to be believed, described by Boomkat as 'genuinely astonishing...a player/arranger/curator/collaborator who has seen it all, done it all - and is still somehow pushing. Fucking wow'. Tonight he performs solo guitar with his signature HUGE oscillating Leslie cabinet which will have the whole of Broadmead rumbling...immerive is used to often to describe music nowadays but this is the real deal!

In support is London's Ashley Paul - another Cafe Oto regular who tonight performs her latest album 'Ray' with her band. A celebration of downbeat jazz moods, flirting with pop sentimentality but existing entirely in its own space. Unassumingly gorgeous and unashamedly unique from beginning to end, it’s by some distance the most approachable and memorable release in Paul’s enviable catalogue to date.
