A event held at Strange Brew on Tuesday 28th November. The event starts at 18:30.

Join us at our DAN Social on Tuesday, November 28th, at 18:30 - 22:00 at Strange Brew

This gathering will provide an excellent chance to meet our team, board of directors, and DAN members, as well as connect with other creative organisations, venues, and supporters, fostering collaborations. Additionally, this gathering offers an occasion to stay updated on the vibrant grassroots creative scene in Bristol and hear about our next steps as an organisation.

We'll be showcasing live performances and artwork from:
Moyah, a Mozambican born Afro-fusion artist, award winning Interfaith creative producer, workshop facilitator & public speaker. His sound is a perfect amalgamation of uplifting hard-hitting rap lyrics over High energy AfroFusion, Trap and alternative up-tempo sounds.

Valentina (they/them) is a british/chilean artist based in Bristol. Specialising in illustration and poetry, they explore themes like intergenerational healing, South American folklore, addiction, queerness, ecology and the absurdity of living. They also run creative writing/drawing workshops that finds utter joy in collaboration instead of competition'

Sukina, a poet, spoken-word artist, playwriter, workshop facilitator and educator, artistic curator, writer and public speaker. Her workshops explore the intersection between creativity, spirituality, and awakening the voice of the heart.

Artuba, plays music to make the heart sing. They are based in Bristol with roots in the Caribbean and East London. Their tunes draw on a variety of influences from blues, ska, calypso and early reggae to Irish roots music and even balkan melodies.

Libby, a Pan-African dancer who started Burlafreak. Her main ethos is to promote body positivity and self-confidence. She teaches with much humour and respect, and as a plus sized dancer herself, and aims to champion women who feel they do not belong on a dancefloor because of how they look.

Sachin, a Bristol-based artist with a studio at The Island. He is interested in exploring the rhythm of human life and how it exists in relation to its environment. He aims to be absorbed in the process of creating, not knowing the outcome per se, but seeing what it may reveal.
