See event details

A gig held at Strange Brew on Wednesday 20th April. The event starts at 19:00.

A special Easter treat from Bristol's Specialist Synth shop - we've curated an evening of 100% live unusual electronics, modular textures and experimental techno.

100% live acts with a focus on bringing new artists to the stage, the Elevator Sound Showcases are designed to flaunt the weird and wonderful of Bristols electronic underbelly. Our voltage-wranglers for this month:

Frensel Lens
The wire-wrapped, sonic exploration project of Swamp 81 bass-slinger Paleman, Fresnel Lens exists to push deeper into the realms of tones, drones, improvisation and overlapping rhythmic elements. Pure experimentalism with analog processing at the core, guaranteed to rumble the rig and melt your mind.

Plot Armour
A collaborative performance from the synth heavens, this Bristol/London duo of Jin [靜] + Sam Nobbs combine elements of sonic art, field recording and modular synthesis. Jin can also be found behind the decks with her Netil Radio residency as well as releases with Camera Magmatica and Hypnaughtic. Sam Nobbs is a Bristol based synthesist and skateboarder, working both solo and alongside post-punk outfit Dame Frisor.

Clashing Patterns
Soaring filters, glimmering dark reverbs and rolling percussion from this Bristol artist with his eurorack system patched to the brim! Expect a atmospheric approach to experimental breaks and techno.

DONATIONS ENTRY:
All proceeds from ticket donations will be split evenly between the artists to support them directly, if you can afford it a £5.00 donation is recommended.
