Pearly Drops

Pearly Drops is Sandra Tervonen and Juuso Malin. Across their two albums to date, the Finnish duo has created a world out of strange and softly smudged pop music. Serving as their own self-contained audiovisual continuum, all cover art is hand painted by singer/producer Sandra in the band’s Helsinki studio while press pics, styling, videos and other aesthetic items are created by the band as well. 

Pearly Drops is a new name to many, but Sandra and Juuso are an accomplished double-act. Alongside their own productions, they have provided compositions to acts including ALMA, Nightwave and Inga Copeland. They’ve earned golden and platinum records for their work with others and have been awarded the Teosto Prize – one of the Nordic countries’ most prestigious symbols of recognition.

miaw (Denmark)

miaw is a cross-pop duo performing a ‘UK Bass’-inspired deconstructed club music resembling Sega Bodega and Pink Pantheress, while blending into the field of shoegaze and ‘90s trip-hop.
Consisting of Frederik Bruun and Liza Dries from Denmark and the Netherlands, the two producers use fast breakbeats, arpeggiated synthesizers, and unorthodox sampling techniques to create a sound at the intersection of a remix and a pop song.

Their debut EP, ‘My Petswan’, released on Danish underground label Petrola 80, has received multiple airplays on international radio stations such as BBC6, 1Live and P6, along with a list of reviews and mentions from GAFFA, Soundvenue, Undertoner, Bands of Tomorrow, and BPM
