A event held at Strange Brew on Wednesday 8th April. The event starts at 19:30.

A mushroom spore must successfully germinate once it has landed in a new environment. They have to consume food immediately, either directly or form partnerships to share food. They extend their hyphae a couple of times, if they are unsuccessful in this search then they die. If they make successful connections, this is what builds a mycelium. But what happens when a spore comes from something rotten? What kind of mycelium network do we build then? In the wake of our polycrisis, abandoned by systems failing us, we run to each other, and extend our hyphae into the darkness. Do you promise you won’t leave? Gender Criminal is a world builder, drag artist and storyteller blending the personal with unapologetically political. Drag, movement, music and mischief will alchemise you through the rise and fall of a mycelium network, searching for authentic connection.
